Here is my first work up from the smaller 5x7 sketches. This is not the first painting of the year, there is more to come! I am holding on to this one for some competitions I am planning on entering. I have taken the month of January to paint for me... commissions have taken a back seat until the beginning of February.

This was done from a photo I shot on Julie's mother's land in Tennessee on Kentucky Lake. Beautiful sunset site but I was trapped with only my camera and no thumb box!
