Country Road

Painted this from some reference I took last fall while visiting with the Plein Air painters of the Southeast in Leipers Fork, Tennessee... or as I like to call it, God's Country.

Demo

When I first started painting about 7 years ago, my first official outing was The Cotton Pickin' Fair in Gay, Georgia where we lived. Is was convenient and seemed like a great idea... and it was. I did it for a few years before I priced myself out of that part of the business and started marketing to the public via social media to galleries. Ellen, who runs the fair, (it is actually her family land) usually calls me when she needs a painter for a demo. AgriTourism is big is the middle to southern parts of that state and she gets a couple of big groups that come through a year to see what goes on at the Fair.

Demo, Fall Field, 12x16, oil on linen, palette knife, purchase here
