Off to the Forgotten Coast

Heads up to all you folks I met in Appalachicola last year, I will be headed down to your neck of the woods Friday to participate in the Quick Draw in Carabella this Saturday. Come say hello. This time I will not be in an alley, I'll be down by the boats.

  2. It's one of my favorites now too!

I want to learn to paint large. For the longest time I thought my plein air work wasn't suited to use as subjects for large paintings, because I paint alot of single objects and up close, but your work proves that idea wrong.

This painting really is outstanding David.

    1. I love painting large... i struggle outdoors, but love it. i am still trying to merge my indoor style with plein air style. i think i need to go bigger outdoors. i have a glouchester style easel, a knock off beauport or something. i need to build a big paint box and use a huge brush and a ton of paint. hope to start playing with that idea this summer!
